About Us

The choir had a great first outing of the year, opening the first May Fayre to be held in Denbury for five years. It was so lovely to see this traditional event thriving again. Unfortunately the rain was inevitably part of the proceedings, but it just about held off during our 45 minute set. Here we are, singing in the spring sunshine!

Our next event will be on the evening of 6th June, back on home turf in Ipplepen, singing in St Andrew’s Church as part of the village’s D Day commemorations. The church bells will be rung at 6.30, followed by a short service of Reflection at 6.45, to include the choir singing the beautiful arrangement of ‘We Will Remember Them’, first performed at our charity concert in the church last November.

We will then remain in the church for our usual Thursday night rehearsal. This will be an open rehearsal, which anyone is welcome to stay and listen to, if they would like to have a sneak preview of the new songs we are working on.

The first official outing of our new arrangements will be in July when we will be performing at the Village Show/ Ipple Tipple. Lots to look forward to!

We meet at St Andrew’s Church Hall every Thursday in term time, 7.30-9.30 pm. Come along around 7.15 one Thursday (ladies only remember!) if you would like to find out what it’s all about. Or you can message us via our Facebook page or give us a call on 07754 949301.

Unity in Sound Community Choir is a women’s choir based in Ipplepen. Members are a mix of ages, life stages and backgrounds.

Our aim is to grow our numbers. We’re a non-audition choir singing a range of different parts so there’s sure to be something to suit every voice. So whether you’re a total novice, rusty or an experienced singer, why not come and try Unity in Sound Community Choir – we’d be delighted to see you. MORE…
